Well I built a 388 engine with 13-1 compression and used this bolt kit. Why do you ask? Well, I bought a new set of cleats, moved, lost them, and as you know, men and toys, I had to build a long block, set it up, and run it. It has been on the engine for about 4 months now, no leaks and seems to be holding pretty good vacuum. I have now found a set of cylinder head bolts and will be using them until I replace the iron heads with aluminum heads or until this bolt set fails or they are really serious about getting this engine on the road.
