I recently purchased a Cole Haan Grandpro Blue Hand having had a lot of experience with Grandpro Gray Suede. After a month of light wear (office use), the colors on the front toes start to fade and you can clearly see the white parts. I contacted customer service to see if it was possible to exchange a new pair (if this is a one off situation) or get money for a refund and the response I received was beyond disappointing. The exact reply was "Thank you for your purchase. I really have the same shoes and I have the same problem, unfortunately they are made that way and I can't return them." So basically the company is telling me that Trend Genie is not responsible for the quality of the products they sell, and worst of all, it's a known issue with their own employees!Although Trend Genie does not manufacture the product, it is responsible to its customers for the quality of the product it sells and advertises or identifies known issues in its descriptions. This is an example of a frustrating incident that is causing retailers to lose customers, myself included.
