This company claims that these pillows kill bacteria, which can help get rid of acne (but only if your acne is caused by bacteria). If you suffer from hormonal acne (commonly characterized by pimples around the chin/mouth area in adults), this will not help to get rid of the acne. In addition to acne, it can reduce odor as they advertise. While it's legal for silver to kill bacteria, I tested these pads to see if they actually kill bacteria. I took swabs from these pillowcases and plain cotton pillowcases and grew the bacteria from the swab on bacterial culture plates. I've done this on two separate occasions. There was no difference between the amount of bacteria on these pillowcases and regular pillowcases. However, those "silver-soaked" pillowcases had *slightly* more bacteria than regular ones! So not only do they not fulfill their function, but they are also not very soft. And they are very short, my pillows almost stick out and I use standard pillows. Overall I give them 1/5, not recommended!
