Review on SteelSeries SmartGrip Mobile Phone Holder - Compatible with Stratus Duo, Stratus XL, Nimbus - Suitable for Phones ranging from 4" to 6.5 by Mike Zeigler

So I tried a controller with a built in phone holder and it turned out. Galaxy Note 10 plus with the largest Otterbox case is too big for a phone clip. find out. And of course, I don't think my $1,000+ phone will stay in perfect order in some sort of phone clip without a case. I don't risk anything. So I sent the controller back. In the meantime, I tried the Stratus Duo Controller and found it good. I found this phone clip and it is said to fit a phone up to 4 inches wide. They weren't kidding. My phone is about 3.97 inches wide with the case and it barely fits, but it fits! Now I really wish it had a ratchet holder that uses a knob to release the tension. I trust that more, but instead use spring force to hold the phone in place. I think because of the size of my phone and the tension of the springs, I have a secure grip. I can even turn the phone upside down or hold it upside down in the clip until it falls out. So it's good enough for a youth and adult gamer playing cautiously. Now it holds the controller surprisingly well, I think you can really slam the controller and it will never come loose so it's awesome, but I'm using a Stratus Duo Steel series and I don't have an Xbox or other types of controllers, so I really can't comment on how well it grips other controllers. But it grabs me with serious power, which is very comforting. For testing I will update this review with the results. Also the mechanism that keeps the phone locked at a certain angle works very well and is very durable, my phone is very heavy with the case on and I don't get the impression that my phone can change angles/angles due to the weight, in which I am, I play. Otherwise, if you're looking for a phone clip that fits a ridiculously large phone and case combo, this is a winner and you won't regret it. Excellent product! Steelseries please make a ratchet version that can handle the same dimensions or maybe even slightly larger. I add 10 to 15 bucks on top of the price just to be sure! I can confirm that it goes well with the vapor regulator as if it was designed for it.
