Authentic Delta Boots

I am writing this review because there is only one other review at the moment and it is incorrectly called Keo boots. These are not keo boots. These are Look Delta spikes. In particular, as shown in the photo, they are red Look Delta spikes with a Teflon coating on the tip and back of the head. This RED version is color coded to indicate more 12 degrees of float compared to the Look BLACK cleats which don't offer as much float (I believe they allow 5 degrees). "Floatingโ€ is the amount of movement the spike is designed for (imagine your heel freely moving in and out 12 degrees in a 360-degree circle) without releasing the pedal. The extent of free movement is referred to as "level of lift". In my opinion, a larger offset allows for less accurate placement without damaging the knee, or a larger area of non-ideal knee anatomy without physically stressing the knee in a way that could lead to re-injury of the joint. . So I've always used those red 12 degree spikes instead of the narrower range black ones. You should still be careful how you attach them to your shoes so that you move within 12 degrees when pedaling. It's winter now with snow on the ground and I don't drive. In the spring I will try to update this review to answer the question of whether the more expensive version of the Teflon spikes are worth the money.
