I replaced all my crappy earwires with these after searching the internet for real metal. No point in replacing them if I have the same problem in the future! I don't have sensitive ears, but some of the metal hooks wear out, which irritates my skin over time. They appear sturdy and well made. I haven't had them that long so I can't yet say how long they will last, but I think I made the right choice by choosing them from dozens of other providers available. I like the color, it's flat metal and not too shiny. They've worked with all of my different earring materials - I've even switched hooks on a pair of copper earrings and you don't realize the two metals are different when worn. You'll need pliers to pry the loop open, but the fact that it's a bit difficult to open is a good sign!
