This seat cover protects very well the parts of the seat that it covers. I leave it on most of the time and it protects my seat from spills and other issues. So far there is no sign of it sticking to the upholstery. I like that it has seat belt holes which pet covers don't have (however if you spill liquid on the seat cover it will exit through the sealed velcro straps and end up on the seat below. I think the cover should be wider there it barely covers the back seat of my Toyota Tacoma 2016. To clarify what I mean by "wider" I mean from the left side of the truck to the right the top edge of the seat extends well past the front of the seat bottom, but there could be a little more material used will.
