Review on MOKOSE 4K USB Webcam with CS-Mount 5-50mm Telephoto Zoom Manual Lens and UVC Free Drive - Industrial Digital Camera by Jontrell Fernandes

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Very serious camera

Okay, first things first. This is one of the few cameras on the market that uses USB 3.0. It can run in 4K but note that it uses the processor. Use only 1080p for streamers. This is the fastest and smoothest 30fps camera I've ever used. You should know that this is a manual focus camera. If you're walking around your stage or not in a fixed position, a standard webcam might be fine for you. The Logi 922c isn't even in the same league as this camera. Even Brio doesn't come close. Obviously, these cameras give more options for the camera and the software to do the work for you. If you know what you do with handheld cameras. that's what you get. Before I continue, I would like to say that I use OBS exclusively on Win 10 20H2 for my setup. You need to know how to set up the camera manually. There are three settings for the included 5-50mm lens. scale, focus and aperture. Zooming and focusing should be easy. Aperture is how much light you let in. I've read several reviews that the camera appears bluer than it should be. Eventually I pre-purchased 2,700,000 lights for my setup. should have waited At 2700k my image is very warm. Lighting 2800-3000k would be the right light for this camera. The in-camera white balance is manual and ranges from 2800k to 6000k. I didn't need crazy amounts of light to balance the image. All settings are adjusted in the device properties in OBS. The included lens is a bit small for a thermal camera, so the image will be a bit vignetted on the outside. I would even go so far as to say that it adds more depth to the picture and gives it a good cinematic quality. The camera accepts CS mount lenses. You can also use C-mount lenses, but you will need a CS-mount spacer/adapter to increase the focal length. I haven't tried other lenses yet. There are a few flaws in the lens glass that can be seen at maximum zoom and lens focus but are invisible even when shooting macro. Image quality looks great in my room from 5ft to 15ft away. With the lens mounted on a target about 5 feet away, a good depth of field is achieved at 10 feet. I will be buying more of these to replace my other cameras.

Pros
  • There's something in there
Cons
  • Confused
