Review on πŸ”Œ Enhanced Performance Cat7 Ethernet Cable with 10 High-Quality Connectors by Mark Green

Revainrating 1 out of 5

There is no indication that it is a CM class or a UL approval.

I bought this for a short term wall mount because the product description said 'UL listed CM PVC jacket'. CM is one of many NEC fire ratings suitable for in-wall installation. But the current UL listing for communication cables must be printed on the cable itself and there is no such information on it. The only text on the cable reads "LAN CABLE 26AWG/4PRS SSTP ETL VERIFIED TO TIA/EIA-568 B.2 CAT7". "ETL CHECKED". The part is a performance certificate, not a safety certificate like CM, and the part before that concerns the wires inside the PVC sheath. So there is nothing on the cable to indicate that the PVC jacket meets the fire protection requirements of the CM. I returned this item and used a cable that actually has the CM and UL file number printed on it instead.
