Review on ๐Ÿ”Š LG PK5 Xboom Go: Wireless Bluetooth Speaker with Up to 18 Hours Playback and Convenient Grab & Go Handles by Lucas Rowe

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Great speaker for its size

Great product and great sound. The speaker has its own built in volume control so you can maximize the volume on the phone you're using and control how loud you want the speaker to be, and as far as I can tell it's completely independent. The base amplification is good and it has quite a bit of power for the size of the speakers. The lighting feature is nice, but I wish it was more customizable than just picking a color or rainbow, but it's still cool that they glow. The speaker can get very loud, and the pause/play button that can be skipped forward and backward is a nice touch, as the placement of the buttons at the top is a nice touch. The back cover is a bit more difficult to remove than most waterproof speakers I've used, but it's not too difficult if you have something to wedge out. It makes sure it stays secure so water doesn't get into the speaker through the charging port or auxiliary jack, which is a really bad thing. According to the online manual, the charging time is 4 hours, which is a long time, especially when using the recommended 5V 1.8A power adapter, but 4 hours is not too long, but it is enough to be impractical , if you forget to charge it before leaving. The LCD battery indicator also doesn't stick like on most speakers I have and requires you to hold down the power button, which I find a little annoying, but the app lets you see what the status of the battery is, so what should it look like the next 10 (does not show 84%, but 80%). Overall, this is a good speaker and decently loud.

Pros
  • Ideal for outdoor activities

Sounds great, APTX HD addition makes a perfect companion for those phones which support it.
