This product seems to meet my needs perfectly, especially because it can be powered via USB-C. (I don't have Sony batteries.) So I bought two Aukey 18W USB-C power adapters as they are tiny but provide more than enough power for these lights. Along with the USB-C cable, they could fit right into the cases along with the backlight. However, I have found that the so-called USB-C cables that come with the device are NOT STANDARD. You MUST use the included cables. Other USB-C cables will not work! Your USB port looks a little deeper than stock. But in the end I discovered that this is not the only difference. I set up a temporary copy stand with a camera on the living room floor to copy a few items. I used these lamps for lighting. Unfortunately one fell off and fell about 2 feet onto my plush rug. Your proprietary USB cable connector is defective! So, in desperation, I took a razor blade and cut Apple's original USB-C power cable so that it could fully connect to the light. After the conversion, it now plugged into the socket like the original cable, but still didn't work! Then it turned out that the internal wiring of their USB connector is also not up to standard! Bow! So there was NO WAY to get this thing to work! I will NOT buy expensive Sony batteries or D-Tap batteries just to make them work. At this point I think that would be spending good money on a flawed, poorly designed product. My only alternative is to throw those lamps away and start over with something else - and they won't be from the same company!
