Review on Amstech HP 202X CF500X 202A CF500A Compatible Toner Cartridge Replacement for Color Laserjet Pro MFP M281fdw M281cdw M254dw M281fdn M281 M281dw Printer Toner - Black Cyan Yellow Magenta, 4-Pack by Patrick Ross

I am using this product with an HP M281fdw color laser printer. Firmware data code 20190419. Cartridges accepted as champion. I disabled the ink cartridge policy. Loading the cartridges was easy enough. I was worried when I pulled the tongue that I was pulling too hard, but it comes out fully and is very long. It breaks off when you pull it out all the way. I printed a color photo onto 200gsm glossy brochure paper using my HP toner and the blues were beautiful and the greens were vibrant. I printed the same image on the same paper with 3rd party toner but the image scaling was different so it's not a 100% apples to apples comparison. However, I can see from two photos that this toner is not as bright as HP's. It's good and the value I saved is worth it, but I think I'd rather have HP toners at a third-party price if there's a world like that. I bought the 202X version of this toner. The printer still shows >1100 pages for black and white and >1000 for color. I'd feel better with >3000 for black, but I suspect it may not be registering the actual number of pages remaining. When you navigate to your printer in a web browser, you will see the number of pages:‡ HP uses the first 20% of ink cartridge usage to estimate the remaining pages. So I guess I'll have to wait. I duplexed 4 pages and 1 color photo. I just received it so can't comment on durability.
