ORIGINAL REVIEW Good price. I already broke one when I dropped it on the ground from the second floor. Stuck in three. I won't remove the stars because I'm not sure a $5 flashlight would stand up to such an insult. I have an EDC and use it daily. So far, so good! UPDATE I just broke the 2nd one. This time it fell out of my pocket about 2-3 feet to the ground. The problem is that it clicked in the exact same spot as the previous one. Right in front of the "X" in Hatori. I submitted a warranty claim for new lights as this batch/release was clearly a manufacturer defect. I will report any response or lack thereof. UPDATE TWO I contacted the seller who responded quickly and said "I received the new flashlights within three weeks but I received them in about a week so great! They said they would speak to their vendor about the vulnerability. I'm assuming I'm not the only one with this error. Nevertheless, I recommend these lamps. Aside from being fragile, they work very well and are very expensive. I agree they are fragile, I would just prefer to know in advance. SOLUTION I wrapped the front end in Gorilla tape and some duct tape on the front end as a shock absorber. I once found a Streamlight microstream deal for $12 but even then that's more than the cost of two of these and I haven't given up on my microstream so maybe it isn't more durable? UPDATE THREE (button) I noticed someone said the button was harder to press than other similar lights. For me this is a big plus as I don't like it when the light comes on without permission. The button starts to work somewhat unreliably. This is normal as it is still working. I also use this light often. I mean a dozen times a day, every day. It's funny how you don't realize how useful something is until you start using it. UPDATE FOUR Well I washed one of them in the washing machine. I suspect this can happen when you do EDC. And surprisingly, it still worked. Sometimes it doesn't turn on, but since it basically works, basically. then great!
