Verbatim AZO Discs: ideal for audio CDs

I have ordered two types of these discs: Total Silver for Inkjet and Silver with normal hub. Both worked great for me. I only use them to burn audio CDs for playback on CD players and they worked great with my home stereo CD player (old Sony 2004), my Sony Blu-ray and my car (2014 Honda). I don't actually print on them with an inkjet printer, I just write and draw on them with markers. They absorb Sharpie ink very well and work with almost any permanent marker. I prefer the "bare" surface of silver discs, with no hallmarks. I've used almost 100 of these over the course of two years and rarely has a drive failed. The only time I've had an issue with discs not working was when I first got them when I was trying to burn discs at different speeds with a CD burner. These discs work best when I set my CD burning software to the "fastest" speed possible. Whenever I set it to record at a certain speed or to record slower, the discs tended to become distorted and playback was slippery. After finding out that slow or fixed speed recording didn't work very well, I've never had problems with discs not working (and I just let the burner auto-run at "maximum/variable speed"). I'm using MacBook 2012. Pro with Superdrive and a cheap external DVD burner from LG. I think they both have 24x speed. For software I used iTunes, the XLD app or Roxio Toast Titanium. Discs I've recorded in the past played great months or a year later. So if you're having trouble with discs not working properly for audio, check your recording settings and set them to either "Fast", "Best", or "Variable" speed. I think some discs and recorders are just designed to run at variable speeds. Also, make sure you select "Include CD-Text" when recording audio so that when you play it in the car, the track information will appear on the CD player. Anyway, I just reordered the SILver Hub Printable because I love the all silver look and am running out. These are very good value discs and the AZO coating is said to be better to use than others.
