Review on Hamilton Adjustable Nylon Dog Collar by Ashley Belehar

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Poor design and sub-par quality of fabric

I am using this collar on an 11 week old yellow labrador puppy. I take off the collar when it's packed in the car or at night. It's inconvenient to use due to the design - press to unlock, slide the plastic clasps through the metal ring. In other words, it's not easy to snap and unlock. Also, as the pup grows - and he grew in the three weeks I've had him - due to the lack of tape to secure the new position (as I often found with other adjustable collars), the adjustable portion of the buckle falls out Collar fabric (i.e. two overlapping parts of the collar will be uneven). Also, the fabric of this collar is cheaper than other fabrics I've used. When my pup plays with my 19 month old dog (of course he bites a lot) the outside of the collar immediately started puckering and puckering. I would definitely NOT recommend this collar brand. I've bought other adjustable collars in the past that were easier to snap on, held up better when re-adjusted, and didn't deteriorate as quickly with use (e.g. playing with the dog).

Pros
  • Excellent overall
Cons
  • Doubtful
