Be careful when removing the old

Be careful when removing the existing brake light. They're held in place with aluminum anchors, similar to the plastic ones you stick in the wall to hang things. So my advice is to first use WD40 to soak the existing bolts for a day or two before attempting to remove the old bolts (I haven't done this but would love to). One came out fine, but the second just went round and round, so I used a pry bar and lifted it until it pulled out of the bolt, which kept the bolt in place, still attached to the body frame. I then used offset nose needle nose pliers to hold the anchor while I unscrewed the screw. At this point I replaced the bulbs with LED bulbs prior to installing the new unit. I took a large Phillips head screwdriver that would fit the loose anchor and inserted it into the anchor being careful not to reach the threads and tapped it a few times to fold the edge against the frame with it he didn't turn. when installing a new block. Be careful when installing and make sure the screws line up as the new foam pad will force you to apply pressure to align it. It looks great and I'm glad I put the new bulbs in before installing it as the brake light assembly has to be removed to change the bulbs. .
