Review on Babyletto Storage Bookshelf Washed Natural by Kimberly Peterson

Honestly for the price and the brand name I expected more. We are used to Oeuf children's room furniture, but we chose Babyletto. The bookshelf is definitely heavy and well constructed to prevent tipping over. Upon opening the box, you were greeted by a strong chemical smell. The assembly was pretty straight forward. One of the pieces was slightly damaged but it was the bottom of the top shelf so I left it. One of the final steps is installing the legs - these are long wood screws. Heads fall off and no longer hold. When I come back to check it out I see the same thing happened to another reviewer. The worst thing about this shelf is that with a bar at the bottom it doesn't fit a lot of books. Melissa and Doug's score book will not work. I ended up taking the whole thing apart halfway to remove the batten and just bought some white furniture stickers to cover the holes. For the price, I definitely don't recommend it. While it's heavy, it's not great for storing books - if you're using it for books and toys it might be better (as per the marketing photos), but it still has plenty of downsides for such an expensive device. one piece.
