Review on Hechengdianzi HAM Manual Antenna Tuner: 1-30 Mhz | Efficient Helper for DIY HAM HF Radio QRP Kits & Antenna Erection by Tyshawn Adams

Revainrating 4 out of 5

It works, just a pain to do.

Firstly, I 100% like the labels and holes are on the box, it's great. The supplier emailed the instructions and they are suitable for anyone with a basic understanding of assembly. The SWR circuit required some modification to the winding to work with my QRP radio. I went with a 5:1 ratio, and that made the light bright enough for better matching. Wrapping the toroid is a pain, but the actual soldering to the switch was ROYAL PET. Also, it was easy enough to build, I can say it makes a difference as it helps pick up signals better in the 80-10m range. It should be noted that they are NOT designed to be used with a balun and am work best without built-in balun .

Pros
  • This antenna tuning kit comes with standing wave directions. A network with a T-type topology, shortwave 1-30 MHz, is used.
Cons
  • Working speed
