works but doesn't work

usb ports work. However, the power button for each port does not work. They are always on, which makes me worried that I may have a defective product that will eventually stop working. The power cord is also very short. Edit: It fried my keyboard. The port randomly disables hubs. When this happened, my keyboard didn't work. I even plugged my keyboard directly into my computer and it still doesn't work. Now it has completely stopped working. What a waste of money
