Should I upgrade to Petcube Bites 2?

As the owner of the original Petcube Bites game, I wanted to share a look at the new and improved version of Petcube Bites 2. As much as I loved the previous version, this new version has definitely improved how I interact with my pet. Zorro (my dog) is not that adventurous when it comes to trying something new. For the most part, he happily ignores the previous treat dispenser, as the loud and unnatural noise of the internal mechanism creates a buzzing noise that startles him. This is followed by several pieces that are fired like a deadly projectile, randomly scattered at different depths and distances. The new machine has definitely improved on this. The size is also slightly smaller, but nothing that stands out as a big difference. It was relatively easy to set up with the app which has a treat scheduling option! The USB + power adapter is a bit bulky, so the machine is not easy to move. Perhaps in the future, wireless rechargeable power will make it even more ideal and portable. The treatment chamber is now more compact to accommodate different viewing angles, resulting in a wider field of view compared to the original machine. I haven't had a chance to play with Alexa's built-in functionality, but I think there are advantages to having it available in a place that hasn't been previously set up with an assistant. For the most part I would recommend switching to Petcubes 2.

Pros
  • Easy installation
Cons
  • Other interesting options are available.
