The battery in my 2004 Mercedes Benz E500 is difficult to access as it is located in the trunk under the storage cover and next to and under the spare wheel cover. This Mercedes model does not have positive and negative 12 volt terminals under the hood. I wanted to connect a holiday battery and this extension made it possible. I routed the wire under the side and rear trunk trim and its end was in the right side trunk pocket. Connection time is less than 30 seconds from the moment you connect the Battery Tender and then plug the charger into a household outlet. It's perfect for my needs.
