Average purchase, there is something to complain about.

. continuation. Keyboard. I have growth. The trouble starts when you try to figure out how to put ". , : % + *" quickly and without switching languages. This is especially true when you work in excel. The volume on the touch bar is hidden under the "volume" button. You need to poke into the touch bar (find with your eyes and get into the desired icon) and then poke into the icon louder / quieter. It is inconvenient when it needs to be done quickly. I have 90% of all work tasks in the cart, browser, text editor, ftp client, photoshop the cart - the client under a poppy is disgusting (under Windows it is 100 times more convenient). browser - yuzayu chrome wanted to go to safari. if you are using chrome then you will not be able to transfer passwords to safari. you can't and that's it. the password for each resource will need to be re-entered. the text editor is a pain. I used notepad++. he is not here. while the most adequate of those that I tried - sublime. BUT there are many "buts". photoshop - I use it on minimal settings, but I was unpleasantly surprised that, for example, the usual alt (control) + wheel do not change the scale - I spent half a day trying to find the right keyboard shortcut. Resizing the stamp with square brackets works but deletes the current layer in parallel. if you lived on Windows, then you most likely cannot do without parallels - it launches Windows programs directly from under the poppy without reboots, registrations and SMS. the program is paid. very cheap. but it's worth it. In general, if you lived on Windows, then most likely you need to prepare for the first month you will notably burn. But it will pass. - Am I satisfied with the purchase - yes - Would I replace this poppy with a Windows laptop in a similar price range - no - If I chose now, taking into account the experience gained, I would buy this poppy or not - I would buy - Thinking about what will be my next machine for work - with a probability of 99% it will be a custom stationary computer under Windows. - If you do not have the opportunity to work on a PC or have a need for mobility - then this poppy is the best solution.

Pros
  • There are no usual + - and comments - everything goes in one text. This review is rather addressed to those who want to buy a poppy, but before that they lived on Windows all their lives. I’ll note right away that everything written is a purely subjective opinion, and where I was uncomfortable, you can be quite comfortable. In January 2022, I bought my first "mac pro"" in the config: 16 inches, 2.3 GHz 8-core i9, 16 GB 2667 MHz DDR4 memory, Intel UHD Graphics 630 1536 MB, 1TB ssd. I took for 190000r (course was about 65) The first impression of the OS was that "like the rules. " When I put in a Google drive and synchronization started, then my world turned upside down)) Synchronization flew at some kind of cosmic speed BUT the poppy was heated almost to red, not all of course, but the upper part of the body that was above the touch bar was simply unbearably hot. Got into Google and Apple help. The official website has instructions on how to reset the fan settings. But it didn't help much. Even on low-performance tasks, the upper part of the case was heated. After a week of searching for information and a billion attempts to somehow fix it, I reinstalled Catalina, reset the cooler settings - I did the procedure 6-8 times (and not once), did this: reset - short press on the power button - did not turn on - reset again. And so on until after the next reset, the poppy turned on with a short press. Unreasonable heating has stopped, but on productive tasks - the upper part of the case still gets very hot, sometimes it just heats up like hell. Accordingly, the bottom of the poppy is also heated, and if you work somewhere holding it on bare feet, then 100% will be as uncomfortable as possible. With heating, everything more or less cleared up and it turned out that this is an inevitable evil of productive systems. It remains to understand how this heating affects performance. Trotting check. I installed iStat Menus to track the temperature and set Blender Benchmark for the test itself. . continued in shortcomings .
Cons
  • . continuation. For about 40 minutes, the blender drove the poppy. At peak moments, the temperature rose somewhere up to 80 degrees (and lasted up to 15 minutes) and so on several times . BUT not a single drop in the processor frequency, not a single hitch. 40 minutes under wild loads and not a single drawdown. It certainly bribed. If I saw at least one hole on the processor frequency graph, I would carry it back. Because the overheating story pretty much spoiled the impression of the purchase. But the performance of this machine really surprised me. Then I climbed to look for information on how laptops work under Windows in about the same price range (170k-210k). And there were the same problems with a hot case, but in addition to Windows there was also wild throttling. In general, I concluded that from what the poppy is on the market, this is the best solution - yes, the case is hot under load (it is hot for everyone), but the performance does not suffer from this in the slightest. All this took me about 2 weeks and, as I said, the impression of the purchase was spoiled (I just was not ready for this). Regarding the OS - in terms of convenience, makos loses to Windows. Windows 10, late 2022 - early 2022 is much more convenient and friendly to the user. BUT in a bunch of iron-axis, Windows already loses, here the makos works out for all 200k. About convenience. Windows on a Mac are not programs, if you close the window you have not closed the program. The program needs to be closed additionally. Collapse - maximize - implemented in one place, if you click "expand" - the window will "fly away" in full screen mode on a separate desktop (you need to press with the option pressed) The mouse that is called "out of the box" will work crookedly and askew, you need to put a couple of attachments (paid) to make everything work. A flash drive with the ntfs file system will not be read out of the box - you need an attachment (paid). Of course, in order to stick something into a poppy, you need an adapter / hub The usual ctrl + c + v + x + a is unusual to do due to the command shifted to the right - you will need to relearn . continued in the comments.
