Packaging Compression Bag Compare

I'm a massage therapist in Oregon and commute between offices. I use these bags to keep my clothes and sheets dry and to compress everything to fit in my baskets. Try to get 6-7 sets of sheets on the bike! I'm pretty rough with them because I rush from one place to another to make an appointment. Many manufacturers have bags that fall apart, such as space bags. I've been using Travelon and Eagle Creek bags 5 days a week for the past month and love them both. Eagle Creek are built for heavier use and their zippered plastic slider is more likely to stay attached to a bag than the Travelon. Although both fit. This is a minor inconvenience. One of the things, besides their better design, that makes these two products better than the Space Bag (available at Bed Bath and Beyond, Target, and Revain) is the ease with which I can blow air out. The space bag's valve requires so much force that it stresses the already weak plastic, causing the bag to burst and fail. The Space Bag lasts me about 2 weeks. The Travelon is priced more cheaply than the Eagle Creek, at around $13 for two versus $20 for the Eagle Creek Two, but Eagle Creek is so much more durable that I think it'll stand up to the harsh conditions of the Wander - and bike rides I use it on will last longer. . Inch The Eagle Creek material has synthetic mesh built into the synthetic layers and the zipper is made from a much stronger synthetic than the Travelon. If I only used it for air travel, Travelon would be great. It's really about getting what you pay for.
