The original plate has a good thickness. The bracelet is light, not even felt on the wrist. I love it because I usually have to take my bracelets off because I'm tired of feeling something on my wrist but I always forget they're even on! I wear them (I have two) in the shower every night and they have not changed color. It's been about 2 weeks. They are thin so the clasp is a bit difficult to hold open and put on but for the price it's such a minor issue. So worth it and if/when they go bad I'll buy more!
