If you want to use this with a standard chair, forget it! First, there are only pictures in the instructions and they are small. You end up putting parts in the wrong way before you have to take them apart and put them back in place. (I'm a hands-on person and this took hours - I ended up needing extra hands to set the correct height (resetting if you want a different height also requires another pair of hands!) Worst of all, we wanted this so my husband can pull from the side while lying on the recliner so the weight of the laptop doesn't rest on his lap The bottom rails are so high that you can't get the table close enough to use it ( even if I did have wheels off!) If you're sitting on something with four legs it might work, but it's definitely not for us (it didn't fit under my chair either. What a waste of $50. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS DESK One of the worst purchases I've ever made from Revain!
