Less stress! - Carriers and Strollers

As with all cat items I had no idea if my kitty would tolerate this item. I had to try something as the last visit to the vet with my 20 lb cat resulted in them not getting blood from him but he did get blood from me. It's amazing how strong cats can be! As he gets older, it's more important that a blood test can be done and monitored. Last year we tried to wrap him in a blanket but he struggled so much it was impossible to treat him. And the stress of it made me very excited! Not to mention the massive wounds I sustained in the process. As I examined these bags, I noticed several characteristics. This was the only bag I found with all the features I think are important. Namely: the long zipper at the top is in both directions, the zipper is in all four corners (where the legs will be), the fabric is dense and durable (the cat won't break through), and there's no mesh or similar fabric to put in where the kitten can get stuck with its claws. In short, all areas of the kitten can be reached without the risk of running away or attacking. For these reasons, the extra effort was worth it. Luckily the kitten is pretty calm at the vet until the nudges start so I was able to get her in the bag with no problem. The main thing was to tighten the neck strap so tight that he could not put his head in his pocket. Once there I picked him up and petted his head and talked to him while the vet disengaged the hind leg and took a blood sample. It's impossible to know what the cat is thinking, but I think the bag serves as a kind of "shirt" and has a calming effect. I'm a HUGE fan. And the next time he gets mad I know his claws can't reach me! By the way, I also bought a cat muzzle in case he still resists. Luckily he didn't have to.
