Good monitor, great resolution, one small problem

I received this monitor to use with my 13" MacBook Pro (2018). It works like a champ: I can connect my laptop to a monitor with a single USB-C cable and transfer both power and data, which is exactly what it is this was what I was looking for. Considering I have a 13" MBP, this doubles the usable screen real estate in a portable and lightweight package. The 4K resolution is great and MBP can handle it at that native resolution or one of the upscaled resolutions. I adjusted the color temperature when I got the monitor as the existing settings seemed too bluish to me; R=60, G=44, B=41 gave me something much closer to the built in MBP screen. The Default brightness is pretty low Obviously, more brightness means more power consumption, and given the state of USB-C, it can be difficult to pinpoint exactly how much power you're getting from a port. So it's probably understandable that this will be the default. Setting it to around 75-80% works fine for me. However, this leads to my small problem: when the screen turns off, the brightness is reset to 20%; it doesn't seem to "hang" like the other settings. This is easily fixed with the OSD and side buttons, but I have to do this every time I plug the monitor back in. Again, I suspect this is probably due to the monitor booting up to a state where it initially draws low power, but this is a minor issue. Regardless, I'm overall very happy with the purchase and would recommend this monitor to anyone looking to add a little extra screen real estate to a MacBook Pro in a portable and lightweight package.
