I have a closed water cooling system for a Corsair H110i GT on an overclocked 5960x. Overclocked to 4.1GHz, nothing special but I wanted better CPU rendering. I tried the stock fans and got about 31 seconds idle and 45 seconds full throttle when testing Cinebench rendering with 25 seconds at ambient temperature. They cooled the system perfectly, but it sounded like Evel Knievel's clockwork motorcycle. If you don't know what that means, they were loud. Not the loudest I've heard, but for a water-cooled system it was annoying. Then I tried Nanoxia Deepsilence PWM. No sound even at full load. Temperatures were 36c idling and 61c under full load. A little more than I wanted but not bad. Finally Phantomks. Easy 33c and load 47c. Almost like stock. Same sound as case fans in ambient air (case fans are Phanteks in a Phantek Primo case) and only a slight breeze under load. There was no fan, just the sound of air. I stopped at their place as I have an hour left if I want. They have nice big vanes for good static pressure. It's good against the cooler. Comes with a gasket to prevent vibration. The stock fans didn't have them. They also matched the color of my case. There is nothing but good things to say about Phantek fans. Among the case fans and these extensions I bought, not a single one is defective.
