This is the standard full-size HDMI to USB-C cable I'm currently using to connect my MacBook Pro (2017) via CalDigit Center to connect to a Dell widescreen monitor. I chose a short 3ft cord as it stays in one place if the length is short. The cable consists of a nylon braided jacket with a metal jacket on both ends. Both cable lugs are coated with hard plastic. While I would have preferred a softer material to allow for flex and better flex in the cable, this has not been the deciding factor so far. The manufacturer included a velcro strap for cable management (although I didn't need it due to the short cable length). Other users have noticed that the HDMI port gets very hot. Luckily I didn't notice this phenomenon/fault with the cable I received. Maybe it has to do with the shorter cable length or the connection method (I'm not sure, it's pure speculation). However, the cable works well and meets my needs. So far no problems after first use.
