To be honest I have yet to install the shelves. But when I look at them, I still see a design flaw. The rear part with a notch for mounting the bracket was cut out at the very end of the board. At first I thought it was the small shelf, but they are all made the same. The idea of a floating shelf isn't seeing the shelf hanging from them, you can see the very edge of the bracket. The wood is soft and you would expect dents in the finish of the shelves. after all. they call them "rustic". They might not have been intended to be rustic when they were made, but this way they can cover the bases. I read in the review that the brackets or the pattern were off. I just noticed that the outline of the bracket is larger than the bracket, but I believe the outline on the template matches the shelf. So far I've checked both boxes of shelves and none of the brackets are broken. As for the weight on the shelves. They are only 4 inches wide. I can't imagine they will carry much weight so I think these braces will do. Maybe a bit exaggerated. The only other complaint at the moment is the packaging. As far as I can tell, the manufacturer had a favorite shelf. This will be the middle shelf in the box as it is the only shelf that has a plastic bag on top to protect it. A little pricey for what you get but not bad. Damn! I just realized that the mount is open from both the bottom and the back. I have to take that into account when hanging it up. In some cases, you need to flip the shelves. If I break the brackets I will definitely repeat this review. Hope that helps. Good Appetite.
