I like its weight and feel. The weight speaks volumes for me. And it comes with a carrying case with straps, which can be carried as a backpack. It's comfortable in the hand and I felt fully protected, not without it. it can be opened at any time. A word of caution: most people who go for a walk don't have an umbrella, and this one is quite wide. Be careful not to bump anyone. Regarding people watching because you have an umbrella with you on a sunny day? Are we in elementary school? So what?! Check out my photo for indoor use. It also protects me from the scorching sun when I'm working from home.
