The back appears sharp and pointed for holding.

I hate how this case feels in my hand. It would be nice if my son dropped it but it's terrible. Lots of potholes and sharp steps at the back. It hurts a bit to hold it in my hands. Not exactly what you want to hold in your hands while curling up with a good book. I guess I didn't look closely enough at the lid or thought it was soft plastic. Well, it's both. Definitely I will buy something softer and more comfortable asap!
