I purchased these to secure pins to my vest and badge holder at work and they definitely did the job. At first I was skeptical that these would secure the pins that well, but it turns out that these were tougher than the pins themselves. I snagged my badge on a cardboard container one day at work and heard two of my pins fall to the concrete. I thought that the pin locks had failed. To my surprise, the bases of both pins were still held in place by the locks and the pins had sheared off completely. While those two pins didn't survive, I'm still very impressed by these locks and I definitely recommend them.
