This item is true to size, do not order a larger size. I returned this garment because it is more of a "girdle” than a post surgical faja, to be used agree my tummy tuck. It is very comfortable, and can perhaps be used for sleeping post-op, but it will not give enough compression, to be used as a main garment. This garment does not have any boning, and the fabric was stretchy but still soft. It is nothing like a faja. I was sad, because it fits comfortably on my butt and hips with out squeezing them. I considered re-ordering and going down a size, but I already have a stage 1 garment that I can sleep in, and I don’t want to spend this much on another.
