Fantastic improvement!

Replaced an old magnetic ballast with this in an 8ft T12 2 bulb fixture. Wow! I can't believe how much brighter the light is now compared to other identical lights in my garage. Note that if you are replacing an old magnetic ballast you will need to connect the wires differently, but it is very simple and the wiring diagram is printed right on the ballast. Basically just attach the blue wires one at a time to the two lamp sockets. at one end, then attach both lamp sockets to the red wire at the other end by twisting the wires together. The black and white wires connect directly to the 120V power supply. Don't connect the 120V power directly to the lampholders like you would with an old style magnetic ballast. You'll need some wire nuts! Not sure why others have complained about the length of the wires as I had a lot of wires to connect to. If you are removing your old ballast, simply tie the old cords tightly to the old ballast and reuse the existing cords going to the lamp sockets while the cords are still in good condition. I'm ordering two more of these for mine. the garage. If your lights are in good condition, this is a pretty cheap solution. Everyone told me it would be cheaper to just buy a new light, but they were wrong, especially considering how long it takes to remove the old lights and then install the new ones. Only one of the 4 bulbs worked properly so for less than $70 to fix 3 broken ones I should be back in business! My only question is how long do these ballasts last?
