When I first bought this I couldn't be happier. It's well made and costs a lot less than more expensive competitors. The first few uses were great, it went up to 450 pretty quickly, didn't tug or burn my hair. Holding it wrong can accidentally turn it off, but that won't break the deal. After about 5 uses I noticed the light is blinking at 450 which means it's still trying to get there. I still haven't seen that it doesn't blink at 450. Then I noticed that it takes longer and longer to heat up. I don't regret buying it, but it definitely has a few things that make the lower price less worth it. ***Update - It takes at least 10 minutes to heat up and the gauge keeps flashing at 410. Still works when it's hot but there isn't always time to wait.
