Review on Tripp Lite Inverter Compact PV150 by Micheal Looney

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Works as expected with the TV

I've only tested this for a day so I'll update the review if it goes bad. After extensive research to replace a noisy 400 watt inverter to power just a 24" LED TV (Sams***) in our caravan. I chose to do this for a number of reasons. First, because the TV only consumes 39W, and the inverter came with a 12V cigarette lighter (which can only handle about 180W without direct connection to the battery), two, good reviews, three, no fan, four, this is one of them only a few in this 150W range have an on/off switch. After burning out for about 2 hours with the TV on, it got hot as the instructions said. At idle, with nothing on, it seems to be drawing about 0.03V (per voltmeter). Not bad. For those who say "stay cool" is just a myth, or they don't use more than 10 watts. The trade-off is that it heats up but doesn't make fan noise. Doesn't overwhelm the TV volume like 400 watts did. Seems it ticks the box for small wattage requirements.
