I just installed this nifty little camera and monitor - and wow, it was easy! There are step-by-step instructions and youtube videos, but it was so easy and headache-free I didn't even have to look at the booklet. This is a really effective and cheap way to add a rear view camera to large trailers: RVs, trucks, etc. Well, even semi-finished products I think. As long as the camera has access to 12-24V, it can be placed anywhere. It transmits wirelessly and while I haven't tested the range, I'm sure it will handle 40-50 feet with no issues. The monitor can either be fixed with screws (brackets included) or glued to the dashboard. The system turns on when you press the large reading button on the cigarette lighter - quick and easy. The system turns on in less than three seconds. It might not be 1080 HD picture quality, but it's definitely more than enough to increase your security whenever you're backing up a large rig and worrying about what's behind it. Maybe a child? For $90, this little system offers peace of mind and can save us thousands of dollars in repairs. If I had an RV, trailer, or something large behind my car I would definitely add one of those. The manufacturer allowed me to try the camera system for free and without risk.
