This camera is designed to be used as an "action cam" that attaches to a helmet or bike handlebars. This is not a camera for making your own feature film. At the same time: Video quality: standard definition VGA 640 X 480, nothing can be seen in low light. Average quality inside and good outside (which is the intended use). The video is smooth and colorful. Test Quality: The audio is muffled, I assume this is due to the microphone being sealed watertight. When children hold it, they can hear it every time they move their fingers across the body. Controls and Display: The controls mostly require a long press, this should be used with the help of an adult. It's not "intuitive" which means you have to spend 5 minutes reading the manual. It's also good for the compact body it fits in. Hardware: It is extremely durable. The handlebar mount works well. The helmet mount needs to be filled with epoxy. Haven't tried it underwater yet, but I'll let you know when I do. Overall: This isn't a toy that will keep your kids out of your hair for hours. It's great for them to put on their bikes and record their outdoor adventures. It won't be an Oscar winning video, but it's great for uploading to the web or maybe a fun video show!
