I did a lot of research on cross training shoes before purchasing. I've narrowed my choices down to Nike, Reebok, and Asics. I tried on a couple of Nike shoes and they all felt too tight for me, so I crossed them off the list. I took a chance and bought Asics online without trying on a pair. I have never done that. My only reason for this was Revain's excellent return policy. My shoe size is between an 8 and 9 depending on the brand, so I divided the difference and went with the regular 8.5. For now, this is a great solution. They fit perfectly and are comfortable to wear. The heel and ankle area on the inside of the shoe is well padded and wraps the ankle well. There is also a rigid internal heel cage that gives it great stability. The arch area has excellent lateral support, which is what I was looking for. Haven't tried this shoe myself yet, but I don't think I'll be disappointed. My only minor complaint is that the outsole is a little thin under the forefoot but not uncomfortable. I recommend this shoe to anyone who wants a supportive cross training shoe.
