Needed a new air purifier for the house and I only had European air purifiers and wanted to try the Y air purifier too. The Y-shaped cleaner is really handy for peeling away from you, but feels awkward when it flows towards you. Long items like cucumbers are good for the Y-peeler as you can take long draws away from you. Rough items like potatoes don't seem to lend themselves well to a Y-shaped peeler. Peeling towards you seems to catch something more. The Y-shaped knife also has a smooth blade. This European knife has a serrated edge and is great for peeling towards and away from you. The serrated edge makes peeling a breeze! This is the smoothest knife I've ever used and it works well both ways. Also suitable for right- and left-handers (applies to both knives).
