Review on 🚰 Enhanced RP50781SS Delta Faucet Pilar Stainless Steel Kitchen Soap Dispenser for Sinks by Govindarajan Diepenbrock

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Just works and looks good

The first thing to know about this soap dispenser is that it is made entirely of plastic. The finish is metallic but plastic and light. This is bad? I do not think so. I have a couple of plastic soap containers that I've been refilling for 8 or 10 years that still work and in that time some metal soap dispensers in the counter have failed. I chose Delta because I have a Delta soap dispenser in my kitchen that still works great after 10 years. During the same period, 1 Moen and 3 Kohlers failed in my bathroom, not to mention they didn't work properly and were a headache to use even before they failed. Over time, metal soap dispensers will react with soap, turning it green, clogging and straining the pump, and the pump will fail. Delta lines its metal soap dispensers with plastic so you don't have this problem. This one is all plastic as I noticed, but it has a second plastic insert where the soap comes out. It runs smooth and light and looks great. As you can see the stainless steel finish is a little lighter than my old Delta stainless steel faucet in the photo but it suits me. The soap dispenser has good reach so it cleans the side of the sink and is easy enough for my grandsons little hands to use. One potential downside is that a soap bottle's neck is the narrowest I've seen, which can make filling difficult. I haven't had to fill it up yet, so I don't know.
