water, what water? With a note for complainers of harmless rust on cast iron.

UPDATED Got some water, want to postpone it, needed it yesterday? This is the pump that will do it, build an exhaust manifold for it with no limits, set it to the lowest possible head (I have a total stroke of 18 inches). So much water will squirt out that you would consider pulling out the ABS drains. and plan on 40 PVC! Not that anyone would use ABS properly, but if they did? , no. I would wash it off if it weren't for these powerful little monsters. Do they have rust around the base? Of course there is, it started in an hour. Huge cost of production for something that we as consumers will be paying for In addition there are two other major factors here, one of which is called differential metals, stainless steel and aluminum in close proximity/contact both with each other and with iron make them react with each other in that environment. The second and most important, because zinc anodes are essential for cathodic protection, is electrolysis. The iron above will miss almost everything without cathodic protection, since most people don't even know what I'm talking about it's safe to say they won't support their zinc. This rust is harmless for the most part, until it starts causing problems you and I will be dead unless your pump sits in a pool of stagnant water year round.

Pros
  • Easy-to-read control panel
Cons
  • The list is getting long.
