Does what it's advertised to do I use them to stamp my luggage when I travel (I carry tools for work) and even with TSA's humorous lock my tools arrived intact. They will NOT detach. You need to cut them at the junction. I know they won't stop a determined thief, but they seem to get him thinking for a moment.
