Worked great! I actually got this idea from my nail salon. Another woman came along because the foil they use to remove nail polish and nails irritated her, she said. :) I thought they were worth a try! They fit all my fingers well and my fingers are a bit bigger for a girl. especially my thumbs. They also got my 13 year old. old daughter nails easy! They fit well and are comfortable to wear. I like that they hold well and don't fall off (even for my baby); but they are not so dense as to pinch or cut off blood circulation. Suitable for all ages. It is used for soaking professionally "wet" nails, as well as shellac. I used small cotton balls that look like an alcohol pad soaked in acetone. I also tried them with some random cosmetic cotton balls I had laying around. Both fit in and work perfectly! You can definitely tear up cotton or cotton balls and use them with ease! I will probably do this in the future as there will be more acetone in the cotton. Plastic afterwards was not damaged! The acetone did not damage, crack, or weaken the plastic or the springs. I'm VERY happy with it so far!
