I love gel polish but hate taking it off especially when cutting foil squares. I finally used them and they are much better. I took advice here and it was great! Instead of cotton, take a small piece of paper towel, fold it, dip it in acetone and use it. Its advantage is that it covers the entire nail without displacement. It also fits the cap much better, giving you a better closure.

If you ever soak your nails this is a must! I rub a piece of cotton swab with acetone, apply it to the nail and then press it over the nail. After you've done your whole hand, I put my hand in a plastic bag (this seems to help the process and they do it at the salon I go to). Gel polish falls off immediately, acrylic takes longer, but is also relatively easy to remove.

Much easier and more convenient than cutting off each finger and wrapping them in foil. You should make a very thin layer of cotton wool or use paper towels soaked in the solution instead to ensure the clip closes properly on your finger. But it's all you need and I have no problem with it - I'm glad I bought it. Makes the soaking process much better/faster!

This makes soaking gel nails so much easier than trying to wrap foil around every finger! They stay in place very well. I found that I soaked half a cotton swab in acetone and stuck it (plugged) into the clip, then just put it on my finger and waited! It's that easy! I wish I knew about these little gems sooner!

I often do shellac manicures and wanted to remove the polish at home, they helped. I put a cotton pad with nail polish remover in it and applied it to the nail. After 20 minutes the paint came off completely, scraping off was not necessary. My only complaint is that my fingers were throbbing like crazy during those 20 minutes. These clamps are VERY tight and my fingers are very thin so it's worth considering.
