Review on Yongnuo YN 622N TX I TTL Wireless Controller by John Destruction

Works but documentation could be better

When I first wrote this review I thought it didn't work at all when it comes to manually setting the flash power. Turns out the reason I thought that is because it doesn't actually change the flash mode to manual. It stores it in TTL but somehow adjusts the power level to mimic manual mode. It's very confusing if you're used to using the canonical versions of these triggers because the canonical versions don't do it that way. The Canon version sets the flash to manual mode. Tested TTL and manual settings and all work. However the zoom doesn't seem to work or at least didn't hear the zoom change at all and it's hard to make sure it works as the LCD on the flash doesn't show any change and still thinks it's TTL mode! You'll have to turn it on and take a few shots a few times so you can see that changing it in this trigger's menu really changes the flash output. Checked flash compensation on my Nikon D810 and it works too. So overall I'm satisfied. with this trigger now. Although I wish it was really clear in the documentation that a flash LCD always thinks it's in TTL mode no matter what you do.
