Works well! suitable for lighting and studio

Purchased with a pair of YN622N. Works with Nikon compatible TTL flashes. I was able to remotely control the power of not only the Nikon SB910 and SB600 but also the Neewer VK750II flashes. Make sure your flashes are set to TTL or you won't be able to remotely control flash output. You won't see the power change indicator on your flashes, but you can see the power increase and decrease as you turn on your flash. I've tried getting it to trigger other flashes with Yongnuo 605N transceivers but…

YN-622-TX + D750 + 2 x SB-700 = great lighting.

Easy to use and excellent performance. I use it on a Nikon D750 with two SB-700 flashes, each with its respective trigger set in a soft box. A special feature of the D750 is that the hot shoe has slightly different specifications than other Nikons. The hot shoe on the camera is a little lower than usual. This will result in the device not working if not properly aligned. A VERY simple problem: put the transmitter back on, turn the locking ring until the pin pops out of the pin, pull the trigger

Decent kit with poor instructions

I recently purchased these items for off camera use with flash on a Nikon D750:1. Flash YN-568EX2. YN-622N-USA i-TTL 2.4GHz Pair of Wireless Flash Transceivers for Nikon3. YN-622N-TX Wireless i-TTL Flash Controller While all components worked well together, initially the flash controller did not change flash settings as advertised. After hours of searching I finally found the answer. Numbers etc. on the speedometer itself do not change; However, they change when the 622 transmits that…

Skip the extra cost at Pocketwizard!

I just LOVE the Yongnuo flash and this is another great item! I've been using Yongnuo for over 5 years now. I shot the YN560 and most recently the YN560 III and YN560 IV matched the YN560-TX. I just bought two YN685 tubes to learn TTL and also try the high speed sync feature. I have this transmitter to activate them. This works very well. It took me a few minutes to figure out the buttons and settings. But once I did that, it worked flawlessly. I know several pros who switched to Yongnuo to…

Works but documentation could be better

When I first wrote this review I thought it didn't work at all when it comes to manually setting the flash power. Turns out the reason I thought that is because it doesn't actually change the flash mode to manual. It stores it in TTL but somehow adjusts the power level to mimic manual mode. It's very confusing if you're used to using the canonical versions of these triggers because the canonical versions don't do it that way. The Canon version sets the flash to manual mode. Tested TTL and…

Buy this shutter release if you've tried and hated receivers

If you're looking for a high-speed sync solution for your Nikon camera, look no further. I originally bought a couple of receivers to use as triggers and was terribly disappointed with their inconsistency. You can tell if they're connected to a camera body or a flash, and mine never seemed to work properly. Eventually I went back to RF602 and didn't think about them anymore. Fast forward to unlocking the TX trigger and I thought I might give it a try. And here we are. Why have I avoided this…

Ideal for remote shutter release

I'm a pure amateur but I've managed to invest a lot in lights, both hot shoe and mono lights. Shooting with external flash, which greatly affects your shots, and adding softboxes or umbrellas (even off-camera) is another step towards beautiful lighting. I've used a Nikon CLS and to be honest I've never had a problem with it. I'm not a big fan of the pre-flare, but it's rarely noticeable on recording. That being said, I still prefer radio control over flash control because the radio allows…

Good wireless system but flash performance varies

I have a Nikon SB910 and three Yongnuo 568 EX II flashes which I have optically triggered using a 910 flash for reference. I wanted to go wireless for more reliability, especially when shooting outdoors during the day. I bought a YN-622N-TX i-TTL controller and four YN-622N transceivers as it seemed like the best option given my equipment. The manuals are somewhat cryptic and written in non-standard English. (Yonguo, I'm a good technical writer and I'm happy to offer my services). However…
