Very durable and works great. I don't know what people are trying to do with that, what they think the screws should be longer. They are perfect for the weight they are designed to carry. A little more and the frame for the picture can be ruined. I've used them to convert wooden thread holders from a table top to a wall mount. With all the spools of thread they get pretty heavy and I'm starting to think whoever built this house doesn't know what rivets are or you must have more than a few of them. I think I've only found 3 in the whole house so far! So far so good with these brackets which not only hold the item I added them to but also support the weight.
