This product meets your expectations at this price. The LEDs are bright when you look at them directly, but they don't emit much from a distance. I bought this because of the white color but the white color is not pure at all and you will see other colors across the spectrum very well when looking at these LEDs. I would say the white is getting darker, more blue. I give this product several top stars because the remote control is complete junk. The buttons don't match the layout of the switches below, making some of the controls cumbersome. My advice: use the remote once to set what you want and never touch the remote again as you won't be able to change your mind later. The range of the remote control is probably less than you would expect from other basic IR remotes. If you've been thinking about buying this product because you can control it remotely, don't. I bought it for a DIY project, so I think a lot of what doesn't work here can be salvaged and used, but it would be better if I was just willing to spend a little more money for a better quality product .
